A Student who is sent to the main office to meet with an Advisor must sign in the Advisor's binder and wait. A teacher will call the main office and fill out a referall.

  1. No weapons on campus-knives, guns (real or play), chains of any kind, iems that could be used as a weapon. No lighters, no firecrackers.
  2. Cell phone use before school starts, during break or after school only. Cell phones should be put away when the bell rings to start school, or when the bell rings to end break and or lunch. If not put away they will be confiscated. Cell phones will be confiscated during class time or between classes. Phones will only be returned to parents after school.
  3. Electronic Devices are not to be used during class time.
  4. Dress Code: No gang related clothes. Only one article of red clothing at this time may be worn if the red item goes beyond the student's knees then this would be called two articles of red clothing. No head wear (Caps, rags, do-rags, etc.). On campus, all tops (shirts & blouses) must cover the top of the shoulder and completely cover the stomach, chest and bare back. No bare midriffs! No PJ's, no bedroom slippers, no blankets, no red or blue belts, no red backpacks (only your name), no sagging clothes, no torn jeans, no clothes with alcohol- tobacco- drugs- profanity- sexual suggestive and no red or blue laces. Clothing that bears logos, insignias, letters or colors signifying a gang, a crew, ciolent actions or weapons will not be allowed. Shorts and skirts must be appropriate (arm extended at the side, short or skirt bottom reaches finger tips); tigh fitting shorts, short shorts, and cutoffs are prohibited.
  5. Backpacks: Gyms bags and other bags shell be free of writing or pictures. Only the student's name in block lettering and the logo of the company who made the item.
  6. Destruction of school property: Tagging-no markers, any items that can be used as a marking instrument are not allowed.
  7. Drugs (Tobacco, Alcohol, Marijuanna, etc.): Possessing-Selling or furnishing any drug will not be tolerated and may lead to removal from school or expelled from the District.
  8. No possession of Tobacco: or smoking in front of the school or parking lots.
  9. Assault or causing Serious Physical Injury (except in self defense) fighting or inciting to fight wil not be tolerated. The student will be dropped from school and may deal with police.
  10. Assault of a staff member: Police Citation, School referall, removal from school.
  11. Profanity of any kind will not be tolerated.
  12. Trash: take pride while being at P.H.H.S. and with yourself.
  13. Sexual harassment: Physical, verbal, non-verbal, photos and drawings will not be tolerated.
  14. Willful Difiance: Any student sent to the office, may be dropped off from school.
  15. Off Limits Areas: Off limits areas: both parking lots, behind boys and girls PE area.
  16. Empty Room: If a teacher is not in a room no student should be in the room.
  17. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
  18. Pornographic Materials will not be tolerated.
  19. Computer Misuse will not be tolerated.
  20. Theft of any kind; school or personal will not be tolerated.
  21. Any Injury on campus: report to the main office.
  22. Medical Drugs: have a signed note from your parent/guardian explaining why you need to take your medication at school. You may need a doctors note.
  23. If you need to leave the classroom: you will need a hall pass with the time, place, date and where you're going. Ask teacher for pass.
  24. Students are asked to get their belongings as quickly as possible and to exit the school in a timely manner. Expceially those students who have an early release time. Students will be asked to leave if necessary.
  25. Due to safety issues, we ask that students do not stay in the Freshmen/Sophomores locker areas of the campus. We ask that you leave after using your locker. Do not stay in the area.
The California Educatoin Code "Mandatory" recommendation for expulsion for the following three (3) offenses:

  1. Possession, Sale of furnishing of Firearm
  2. Brandishing a Knife
  3. Sale of a Controlled Substance

Below offenes punishable under education code 48900 that could result in a 1-5 day suspension, citation, possible involuntary tansfer, and possible recommendation for expulsion include: A) Physical Injury- (caused, attempted or threatened to cause) B) dangerous Object- (possessed, sold or furnished) C) Drugs or Aclohol (possessed, used, sold, or furnished) D) Robbery/Extortion E) Property Damage (school or private) F) Theft- (stolen or attempt to steal school or personal property) G) Tobacco- (possession or use) H) Obscenity/Profanity/Vulgarity I) Drug Paraphernalia J) Disrupting/ Defiances K) Receive Stolen Property L) Imitation Firearm M) Sexual Assault (4890.2) or Sexual Battery N) Witness Harassment of Intimidation (48900). O) Assault or Battery upon any school employee (49800(a)(5)

The administration does reserve the right to objectively determine the appropriate punishment necessary for a student who commits an offense, based on the seriousness of the particular infraction and previous discipline record of the student.
