PHHS Library

Our mission is to support the curriculum at Piedmont Hills High School, with special emphasis on collaborating with the staff to develop units of study, teaching research skills, providing access to reliable information, and promoting a love of reading.

Hours

We are open 10:00 to 3:00 every day including lunch and brunch. We close at 1:00 p.m. on early release days. Passes are needed when class is in session.

Policies

Lanyards - You must wear your lanyard to access the library.
Book Checkout - You may check out three books as long as you have no overdue items. The loan period is two weeks for non-fiction and four weeks for fiction. Reserve boooks check out overnight and are due back by 8:00 the next morning. Books may be renewed three times unless they are on hold.
Overdue Books - The fine for books overdue is $0.10 per day per item. Reserve books are assessed at $0.50 per day, if they are not returned the next morning before school.
Food and Drinks - Food and drinks are not allowed in the library.
Book Shelving - Please do not re-shelve books.
Passes - Teachers may send up to six students per class, each with his/her own pass. Students must show the pass at the counter and sign in before taking a seat.
Leaving the Library - When you leave, please pick up any paper you might have left on the floor and push in your chair.
Computer Lab - Use of this computer must be in accordance with district policies. Malicious behavior or accessing inappropriate sites will result in denial of use.
Printing - In order to print, you must establish an account with the school bank located in the Hub. See Mr. England with your I.D. and $3.00. This will pay for 30 copies.
Exit - Enter and leave by the hall entrance through the gate. If the alram sounds, stop and check your knapsack for the cause.
